Interface Design
Based out of Virginia, Old Dominion Furniture Co. is a furniture manufacturer with a variety of products and portfolio pieces. From restaurants to senior living facilities, Old Dominion even provides a plethora of custom furniture options. Each customer is catered to their specific goals and needs to redefine their restaurant or hospitality space.
To expand their reach, Old Dominion realized their messaging and marketing strategy needed a new approach. With countless potential clients circulating their digital space, they required promotional materials that effectively showcased their products and services on a routinely basis.
The Goal
The refinements to the visual system and presentation needed to stay true to Old Dominion’s already well-established brand guide. By focusing on the user experience, it was crucial that the design was clear, intuitive, and drew traffic to their website. Other promotional pieces were to reflect that same method—proving to be a seamless extension of the company’s style and outlook.
REFINEMENT INSPIRATION
The Solution
A simple, yet elegant structure was implemented to the story-based content that allowed potential clients to easily connect with the company. The consistent effort of weekly emails, social posts, and blogs provided more opportunities for conversations and projects. Advertising pieces paired with email campaigns helped solidify Old Dominion’s promotion of quality materials. Soft gradients, line icons, and collage elements incorporate a tactile feel to the collateral, keeping the audience involved in the creative production process. Photos of each portfolio piece stand as the star of the show, proudly displayed alongside the earthy palette and classic fonts. With each inbox notification, a spark of possibility awaits.
